<p>Global warming is heating ocean surface temperatures to record levels. </p>
<p>Deadly tropical species have spread to parts of the Mediterranean, such as the Adriatic Sea, wiping out native species and damaging the ecosystem.</p>
<p>These species, such as the parrot fish, have no value to local residents.</p>
<p>This situation creates uncertainty about the future of the fishing industry.</p>
